    • A. If you have forgotten or lost your NET username and/or password, simply call or email us, and we will recover them for you.
  • Q. How can I find freight class or freight density?
    • A.
Freight Class: Freight class refers to commodity classification. Most carriers follow the system of the National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFC). If you are not already familiar with how to determine the freight class, an NET representative can help you determine the freight class for you shipment.
Density: Freight density measures how heavy a package is relative to the size of the package, and is often necessary to determine freight class. A package with a high freight density weights a lot relative to its size, and a package with a low freight density weighs little relative to its size. Use a density calculator to determine the density of a shipment, or you can contact an NET representative to help you with this.
  • Q. How can I avoid damage during shipping?
    • A. While it is possible for items to get damaged during shipping, it is very easy to limit the likelihood of damage by making sure your shipment is properly packed. Items should be securely packed in a way that some movement of the pallet/crate/box will not cause damage. If you have a particularly sensitive item, or would like more information on proper packing, please contact an NET representative.
  • Q. Where do I get a Bill Of Lading?
    • A. NET will provide you a Bill of Lading for your shipments, via email or fax. All you need to do is tell us where to send it!

  • Q. What are my options for Insurance on my shipment?
    • A. Some carriers only offer limited insurance on shipments. NET offers the option of additional insurance in these cases, or when the service being used cannot offer enough insurance for the value of your shipment. You can contact an NET representative for more information on insuring your shipment.
  • Q. What do I do if my shipment requires special handling?
    • A. Many shipments require some degree of special handling, and we offer a wide range of special services. Some of the more basic services, like lift-gates and residential pick-ups/deliveries, can be selected when quoting/booking online. An NET representative can help you with more detailed special handling, and can also help you determine what services you may need.
